Artist Profile: Muhammad Rodriguez

Rodriguez, 21, graduated in early 2008 from the San Alejandro art academy and was identified by the Cuban art authorities as one of its most promising new graduates, gaining a coveted spot in the state-run art galleries. Although an excellent figurative painter, he says he "paints what is in my heart." In the paintings you see in my gallery, perhaps you will see a frame within a frame, into which you may bring your own thoughts, ideas and memories.
